Painting and sculpture by Paul Herman | Home

I have placed the self-portraits in a rough chronological order, not only does his colour theory change with exposure to the impressionists in Paris & the change of light as he moves from the north of Europe to the south of France but so does his very self-image. As you can see if it weren't for the last couple of years of his short career as painter he & his work would have faded into the oblivion of mediocrity.
