This small detail around the back of a pillar's capital struck me as unusual because as first-rate as the sculpture was wherever I looked, most was stylized in garment as well as features while this, seems to me, to apparently be a portrait of a real person, might it be a self-portrait by the Gothic craftsman beginning to feel like an artist?
