Portrait: Oil on canvas. Ted 162cm x 120cm (5ft3in x 4ft). I seldom do a portrait this much larger than life size but this client just seemed to require the room, painted with palette knives. People have criticised the over-sized hands (of course the effect is different when looking at a large canvas instead of a small digital image) but again- I trust my instincts on these things & the sitter's strength of character demanded some expression & oversized hands is how my instincts bade me symbolize it...
